YGAM – Young People’s Gaming and Gambling harm prevention training sessions

We have joined forces with an award-winning charity (Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust – YGAM) to offer fully funded free online training on gaming and gambling harms in children and young people on 11/01/2023 and 02/02/2023.

Why is this so important? The September 2021 Public Health England evidence review highlights the links between mental health, loneliness and gaming and gambling becoming an increasingly important issue, and that the extent of gambling among CYP is higher than using e-cigarettes, smoking tobacco cigarettes, or taking illegal drugs: at its most severe, leading to suicide. YGAM’s social purpose is to inform, educate, and safeguard young people against gaming and gambling harms, and it aims to fill the gap in knowledge about gaming and gambling harms and to help prevent this issue from devastating patients’ lives through their fully funded free workshop-based online training (Microsoft Teams).
