Parental Support

HOPE (Harrow) is a local charity providing support to parents and carers through one to one parent mentoring, courses and workshops.  All of our services are designed to support and encourage families to feel valued and build upon existing skills to improve communication, develop self-esteem and to reduce tension with the aim of enhancing the general well-being of the family. Our Facilitators and Mentors are all accredited and offer a supportive, non-judgmental and confidential service. Parent mentoring is available in a range of local languages. The Harrow Families Information Service (FIS) provides an impartial service giving detailed information, advice and guidance on childcare as well as general information on a wide range of services for children, young people and their families in the local community.

Parenting Course – How to Drug Proof Your Kids

The Care for the Family London Harrow team will be running  a 6 week course for parents of children in Year 6 and above which addresses the important role a parent or significant caregiver can play in reducing the risk of harmful substance misuse and looks at ways to empower children to make safe and healthy choices. There will be 6 weekly sessions at Christ Church Roxeth (opposite Roxeth Primary School) on Tuesdays 7-9pm starting Tuesday 5th June 2018.
